OCPP Configuration for EVduty Charging Stations

EVduty Guide - Version 2.2 Revision: August 17, 2026

Connect an EVduty EVC30, EVC40, or EVC48 charging station to the Club Roulez Électrique.

1. Before You Begin

Important Notice

EVduty charging stations compatible with the OCPP protocol can be integrated into the Club Roulez Électrique program. However, changing the OCPP server changes the way the charging station communicates with EVduty services.

2. Prerequisites and Charging Station Registration

Prerequisites

An active account on roulezelectrique.club.
The exact charging station serial number, shown on its label (e.g. EVC48-12345).
The name of the Wi-Fi network the charging station must connect to.
The password for that Wi-Fi network.
A phone, tablet, or laptop computer (recommended).

Step 1 - Register the Charging Station in Club Roulez Électrique

Sign in to Club Roulez Électrique and open the My Charging Stations tab.
Click + Associate a charging station, then select EVduty (OCPP) / Elmec.
Complete the registration form:

- Name (optional): display name, for example EVduty Garage. - Serial number: exact serial number, in uppercase with a hyphen.

Examples:

- EVC30-12345 - EVC40-12345 - EVC48-12345

> Do not include anything that looks like a date shown after the serial number, for example 22/09.

Click + Register and generate credentials.

3. Open the EVduty Configuration Interface

Step 2 - Restart the Charging Station

Turn off power to the charging station by switching off the circuit breaker for 10 seconds, then turn it back on.

Charging Station Wi-Fi Network Broadcast Duration

Situation	Broadcast Duration
Charging station never configured	30 minutes
Charging station already configured and connected to an OCPP server	5 minutes
Charging station configured, but unable to reach Wi-Fi or the OCPP server	Continuously; the green LED flashes

Step 3 - Connect to the Charging Station's Wi-Fi

In your device's Wi-Fi settings, select the network broadcast by the charging station.

Its name will look like one of the following formats:

EVduty-EVC30-XXXXX
EVduty-EVC40-XXXXX
EVduty-EVC48-XXXXX

Step 4 - Open the Web Interface

Open a web browser and enter the following address in the address bar:

192.168.4.1

Compatible web browsers: Google Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox, etc.

Step 5 - Sign In

Use the following credentials:

Username : admin
Password   : evduty

Step 6 - Check the Internal Version

On the Actions page, locate the Version number.

For increased stability with external OCPP servers, the recommended version must be at least:

1.5.x-x.x.x.x

4. Configure Wi-Fi and Charging Mode

Step 7 - Configure the Wi-Fi Network

Click Configuration.
On the Configuration page, in the Wi-Fi Network SSID section, select from the list the Wi-Fi network the charging station must connect to.

If the Network Is Hidden

Select Other from the drop-down list.
Check the box indicating that it is a hidden network.
Manually enter the exact network name (SSID).

Step 8 - Enter the Wi-Fi Password

If your Wi-Fi network is password-protected, you MUST NOT check the Open network box.

In the field to the right of Wi-Fi Network Password, enter the Wi-Fi network password exactly as configured, including:

uppercase letters;
lowercase letters;
numbers;
special characters.

Step 9 - Select the Charging Access Mode

Under Charging Access Mode, select:

5. Configure the OCPP Server

Step 10 - OCPP Server URL

In the OCPP Server URL field, enter exactly:

ocpp.sh

Do not add ws://, wss://, or a charging station identifier at the end of the address. The charging station completes the connection address itself.

Step 11 - OCPP Server Port

In the OCPP Server Port field, enter exactly:

Step 12 - Submit the Configuration

Click Send or Submit.

The charging station:

saves the settings;
leaves its local Wi-Fi network;
connects to your Wi-Fi network;
attempts to connect to the Club Roulez Électrique OCPP server.

6. Verification and Troubleshooting

Verify the Connection

Return to My Charging Stations in Club Roulez Électrique.
Wait one to two minutes. The charging station should display Online or Available.
Connect a vehicle and start a charging session. The session should automatically appear in the history and be added to the accumulated value.

Check the Charging Station LED

If the charging station's main LED flashes green, this indicates that the charging station is unable to reach the Wi-Fi network or the OCPP server.

In that case, repeat the checks below.

Quick Troubleshooting

Symptom	Probable Cause	Recommended Action
The charging station remains "never seen"	Identifier does not match the serial number	Correct the identifier under My Charging Stations. Preserve uppercase letters and the hyphen.
Green LED flashing	Wi-Fi unavailable or OCPP server not reached	Reconfigure Wi-Fi and verify the OCPP URL and port.
The charging station does not connect to Wi-Fi	Incorrect password	Restart the configuration and re-enter the password carefully.
`192.168.4.1` does not respond	Conflict with the network address range	Try `192.168.5.1`.
The EVduty network no longer appears	The 5- or 30-minute window has expired	Turn off the circuit breaker for 5 seconds, then power the charging station back on.
Unable to connect to OCPP	Incorrect URL or port	Use `ocpp.sh` and port `80`.

7. Update the Internal Version

This procedure is required only if the version displayed on the Actions page is earlier than:

1.5.x-x.x.x.x

Connect to the charging station's Wi-Fi network and open its web interface as described in steps 2 through 5 of section 3. Open the EVduty Configuration Interface.
Under Configuration, enter the name / SSID and password of the Wi-Fi network the charging station must connect to, as described in steps 7 and 8 of section 4. Configure Wi-Fi and Charging Mode.
Click Send or Submit so the charging station can connect to the Internet.
Leave the charging station's Wi-Fi network and wait approximately 15 minutes to allow the automatic update to complete.
Restart the procedure from section 3. Open the EVduty Configuration Interface.
